In 2002 -- The Joint Committee on the NTCIP approved a proposed Work Item to develop "Object Definitions for Network Camera Operation." The standard will specify objects for digital, still frame CCTV image capture and transmission.

April 2003 -- NTCIP 1212 document number assigned.

A draft is not yet available for public download.

June 2005 - NEMA staff is reallocating consultant hours. Work is expected to resume by the third quarter of 2005.

September 2006 - After work resumed, it became evident there was insufficient hours available to complete the standard. A proposal for FY2007 funding to complete NTCIP 1212 was declined by the FHWA. Therefore, work has been suspended at this time.
