SCOPE AND BACKGROUND -- The NTCIP 1104 "Center-to-Center Naming Convention Specification" was developed and is maintained by the NTCIP Center-to-Center (C2C) Working Group.

VERSION v01 -- During 2001 - 2002, the C2C WG temporarily suspended work on NTCIP 1104 while working on the NTCIP 1601. In July 2002, the NTCIP Joint Committee accepted the NTCIP 1104 v01.05 as a User Comment Draft. In October 2002, the NTCIP Standards Bulletin B0080 sent NTCIP 1104 v01.06 out for User Comment. In January 2005, the Joint Committee accepted 1104 v01.08 as a Recommended Standard. In July 2005, the NTCIP Standards Bulletin B0104, Request for Ballot to Approve, sent 1104 v01.08c to the SDOs for ballot and approval. AASHTO approved in November 2005; ITE approved in October 2005; NEMA approved in October 2005. Jointly Approved in November 2005.

In May 2008 -- The published version of the Joint Standards Publication NTCIP 1104 v01.09 was available as either a PDF download, or for order as a printed hardcopy with a softcover.
